Can I trial the Cryptexonline services?
Of course, in order to setup your trial you must first register yourself in the My Cryptex online portal.

Once registered, click the Orders icon and select which service you would like to test drive.
How do I sign up to Cryptexonline services?
First you need to create an account in the My Account customer portal. Please click for detailed instructions on how to create your account.
After you have an account in the My Cryptex portal, you need to trial or purchase the service or services you require. Ensure you are logged in to your account in the My Cryptex portal. Click on the Orders link. Go to the Categories drop down box and choose the service you require. Complete the purchase screens to process to enable your purchase or trial service.
What payment methods can I use?
Cryptexonline accepts Visa, Mastercard or electronic deposit to the Cryptexonline bank account. Please note, if you pay via electronic deposit please include your invoice number in the reference field to allow prompt processing of your payment. Cryptexonline's bank account details are located on your invoice.
I have signed up to a 12 month contract, how do I secure my free seed load service?
Upon signing up to Cryptexonline, you will receive a Welcome email. Contained within this email is a Promotion Code. You will need to use this promotion code when purchasing your seed load service. You purchase the seed load service through the Orders section on My Cryptex. When the payment screen appears, you will be prompted to enter and validate your promotion code. This code will then discount the amount of the free seed load service.
I have too much data to upload via the internet. What do I do?
You can request a seed load. A seed load means the initial load of your data offline using a piece of hardware such as a USB disk. You will need to purchase a seed load service from the My Cryptex portal. When you purchase the seed load service, Cryptexonline will deliver hardware to you and instructions on how to populate the hardware with your data. You then return the hardware to Cryptexonline and we will seed your account for you. From this point, Cryptexonline will only use the internet to populate the changes to the files.
I need to restore one or two files. How do I do this without having to purchase a restore service?
You can retrieve as many backed up files as you like via the internet from the My Backup portal. Please click on the following link for detailed instructions on retrieving files from the My Backup portal.
How do I get billed for my Cryptexonline service and how is it paid for?
Cryptexonline will bill you monthly for your service in advance. You will receive your invoice via email a few days before the new month. If you have registered your credit card details with Cryptexonline, your credit card will be charged at this point and no further action is required on your part. If you do not have your card registered with Cryptexonline, you can either pay via electronic deposit to Cryptexonline's bank account or you can log in to Cryptexonline and enter your credit card details manually to pay your invoice. Please note that the due date for the invoice is the first day of the month of service, for example service for June is due on the 1st of June. Please ensure that payment is made by this date to avoid any disruption to your service. If you are paying your invoice via electronic deposit to the Cryptexonline bank account, please include the invoice number in the reference field of the deposit. Failure to do this may also cause a disruption to your service.
Will using Cryptexonline consume a large chunk of my internet data allowance?
No, for three reasons:
1. after the initial data load, it is only changes in files that are uploaded to the My Backup server via the internet. The result is that only a relatively small amount is uploaded via the internet
2. the changes that are uploaded are compressed, generally to around 25% to 50% of their original size, resulting in a smaller amount being uploaded via the internet.
3. some internet plans do not include uploads within their data usage. Please check with your internet service provider to identify whether data uploads are considered part of your internet data allowance.
Are my credit card transactions and my credit card details safe using Cryptexonline?
Cryptexonline uses Australian based payment gateway provider eway to process all credit card payment online. In addition, Cryptexonline also uses industry standard security measures to protect your credit card details both on the internet and within our site at all times. At Cryptexonline, we take your credit card security seriously.

What data should I back up?
Any data that if lost, would cause you or your business disruption or cost.
When should I backup?
You can schedule your backups to run at your choice. Most organisations choose to run backups at night so as to avoid the busiest times of the day. However, you can choose to run your backups at regular intervals (eg. every hour or two) during the day or you can choose continuous data protection which backs up changes as you make them.
Tell me more about the free seed load I get when I sign up to a 12 month contract with Cryptexonline?
The free seed load service provides an easy and cost effective way to submit a large amount of data to the Cryptexonline My Backup server without incurring costs and substantial time in uploading via the internet. The seed load comprises the following components:
Component 1 - the cost of the Cryptexonline hardware for you to backup onto. Cryptexonline charges you for the cost of this hardware as it is no longer in the possession of Cryptexonline. Of course, should you return the hardware to Cryptexonline we will reverse this charge against your account.
Component 2 - the freight and handling cost of getting the hardware to your premises and for the cost of that freight for the hardware to be returned to Cryptexonline. Cryptexonline uses Australia Post Express Post Platinum service for shipments within Australia. In addition, Cryptexonline provides your hardware with tamper evident seals for that additional peace of mind. This cost of AUD$40.00 will be charged to you.
Component 3 - the cost of Cryptexonline staff time to prepare your hardware for sending ie. data erasure and virus scanning and for the cost of Cryptexonline staff to load your data onto the Cryptexonline My Backup server and check its accuracy. Under the free seed load service, this cost, normally costing you AUD$150.00, will be provided free.
Tell me more about the free assisted recovery service I get when I sign up to Cryptexonline ADVANCED?
You can restore your data in 2 ways with Cryptexonline ADVANCED.
The first way is online. You can log in to the My Backup server and restore part or all of your data to your local site via the internet.
The second way is via an assisted recovery service. Where the amount of data required to be restored is not practical to be restored via the internet, you can request that Cryptexonline provides this data to you via mass storage hardware that we ship to your premises.
The assisted recovery service comprises the following components:
Component 1 - the cost of the Cryptexonline hardware that will contain your restored data. Cryptexonline charges you for the cost of this hardware as it is no longer in the possession of Cryptexonline. Of course, should you return the hardware to Cryptexonline we will reverse this charge against your account.
Component 2 - the freight and handling cost of getting the hardware to your premises and for the cost of that freight for the hardware to be returned to Cryptexonline. Cryptexonline uses Australia Post Express Post Platinum service for shipments within Australia. In addition, Cryptexonline provides your hardware with tamper evident seals for that additional peace of mind. This cost of AUD$40.00 will be charged to you.

The free assisted recovery service will provide you with one free assisted recovery service per annum with the anniversary date being the date upon which your Cryptexonline ADVANCED service commenced.
